In August 2023, the SIDC Board approved sponsor Bobbie Torres to work in a City of Savannah Summer Program to help neighborhood kinds make their community clean and safe. The program is headed by the Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement, which is directed by John Bush.
Bobbie worked as a supervisor and a representative of the SIDC in the program for three months. This program helps kids, some who have challenging issues, live better lives and even help the elderly. The program gives them an opportunity to give back and support the communities they live in.
Below are pictures from the 2023 program.
